hey guys it seems it is getting plenty ov fuel it has good spark and obviously air. what can it be...
any help will be great...
anyone.....
hey all i am supercharging a 100kw samll port 4age and i am having a couple ov issues...
to start with on the supercharger there is two pipes coming from one side ov it and one coming from the othe side, where are they ment to go. they seem like they have vacum.
the other question is with the supercharger disengaged it wont start but with it engaged it will idle but only just. as it is running on three there is plenty ov fuel there...
any ideas would be great thanks....

The three small pipes are case breather pipes, if not plumbed up to boost side can stuff your bearings by blowing lubrication away from them.

Are you running a bypass valve on supercharger?

jon
so your saying they should be plumed into inlet plenum vacuum,
and yes im just running the factory by pass valve...
Yes plumb them into the inlet plumbing on the engine side of the supercharger.
Where do you have the throttle body mounted before or after the supercharger?
Are you running MAP sensor or AFM?
If you check out the thread that i posted in last post will have some relavent info and some more links.

jon
throttle body is before the supercharger and i am running afm...
does that sound correct...
silly question but you do have a S/C ECU ?

umm no i dont only the 100kw ecu, it has a malpassi fuel pressure reg on it tho..
i was hoping it would atleast be able to idle or run with the ecu thats there...
what would the s/c ecu be doing that mine wont....
do i need to tweek the afm or something....
it revs fine and smooth but it just wont idle, do i need to put in an idle up motor or something....
so what is the difference between the s/c ecu and the 100kw ecu.
does anyone know...
Supercharger control, fuel maps for higher than atmospheric MAP readings, wasted spark with CAS control, more fuel bits, different knock sensing and some bypass bits.

the s/c ecu switches the charger electronic clutch off at idle, also what injectors are you running? good chance your engine will be running very lean under boost, not a good thing...
if it is running lean under boost its just a matter of time before a valve or piston lets go...

is there any reason why i couldnt get it to idle with the ecu i have...
and does the gze have an idle up motor
is your fuel pressure regulator a rising rate one?
yeah its a malpassi 2 to 1 rising rate reg... it just does not seem to be getting enough air without the charger engaged... ill post up some pics when i can so everyone has a better idea... im going to pull the manifold and charger off tonight and start again..
You do know that you need a bypass valve for when the charger isnt operating....
