18r to 18rg looming worries

i have a hilux 82 with a dead 18r and im going to do a convertion to an 18rg
is the wiring loom the same for the 18r as it is for the 18rg?

Yes it is as the 18rg
If it is an 18rgu they may have electronic ignition which is very simple to wire in.
exhaust manifold is different so your original extractors or headers will need changing.
But is really a straight swap

make sure you take the oil-pressure sensor off the dead 18R - if the lux has a gauge, and your donor RG had an idiot light you'll be stuck.

charles i dont think it does have one, same sdash as my yn57 i think - very limited gauges lol!
