These were by far the best karts I've driven, and I've driven at Sidetracked, Le Mans, Auskarts, Ace Karts, and a place near the Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast (biggest kart track in Aus)...

The track wasn't as good as Ace or the one on the Sunshine Coast, but it was still quite challenging without being a shite design (like Sidetracked, Le Mans and Auskarts).

The karts were quite evenly matched for performance and handling, which meant that the racing came down the skill and weight only (or bad luck in the case of myself an gianttomato) which is exactly the way racing should be!

I personally think that any future Toymods Go-karting event should be held at this same place, and I think most will agree...

I agree with that ^^^^, and it shits me to tears when there are obvious differences. I didn't notice a huge difference between these karts, like I have with many of the 4-stroke ones.

But having said that, it seems that these ones were more responsive to weight differences, which I would imagine would be just as annoying... it's just i was lucky enough not to get screwed over by that

Ya i got on kart 7 and was ~2 secs off the pace where as on kart 10 i was able to run into the high 34's

They were great fun racing and very even most of the time

My vote is for silhouette for next kart day

Anything but Ace Karts at sunshine. They are TEH CRAP!

Just got back from a work gig there and man do those karts suck.

For starters, you are stuck with the one kart the whole time. You sit on one side of the kart... the little generator motor sits on the other, yet the steering wheel is in the middle!

In the 3 races i think i lost a position on every lap. I was the lightest guy out there, and got passed by someone EVERY run on the straight. Now, that could mean one of three things:
-The goobers at work are very skillful,
    -i'm very unskillful, or
-the kart I was in was da lamest.

I've no idea which one it was, but i really did not enjoy the ride in the kart at all. There was no front end grip (i reckon the tyre had 30psi in them), there was no power at all and the corners on the track just did not seem to flow.

Anyways, maybe I'm just bitter about getting my ass kicked from here to china in something i'm usually ok at, but i'm never going back there again!!!

Yeap, Kart 8 was shit as.

I was the guy in the Reece T-shirt that got smashed off the track, gotta love the racing line

Was also a pisser being stuck like mating karts.

All in all, a good day, and il definately attest to the fact that there was a large variation in the speeds of those karts.

The karts I had got progressively slower, seems these did for most.

I like Sth Morang better than Silhoutte too.

Thanks to Yian for organising it all and Alana for minding all our gear!

By the sound of things, the karts have changed since I went... They were nothing like you metioned ther when I went...

Shame about the track too, it use to be an awesome design... They've only just recently re-designed it, maybe they have changed hands or something!

Oh well, definately not there then!
