Rims on, front sus on, brakes on and pads bedded in. Lot of stuffing aorund though.

All looks good to go aside from engine shake.

Well - I'll be there.. but unfortunately the addition of the boost controller didn't go to plan..
anything over stock boost (7psi) and it hits boost cut!!

Most likely something to do with my missing knock sensor!

So quick times will have to wait till next trip..

only stock boost for me tonight.. So Eldar - we should be pretty close!

Any other last minute punters coming down??

Question Re: OST @ Whoop Ass Wednesday - 27/09/06

Be interesting to list the times everyone does afterwards, just to get an idea of where people sit.

Worth recording them there tonight or just asking people afterwards for a best time or something?

cool night, although all my runs (yes, i mean all two!) taught me a thing of two.

one, i can get my tyres to chirp when boost hits in first, something i didnt think was possible on an auto.

my gearbox is well rooted, mainly, it wont shift properly, and it dislikes shifting out of first at all, resulting in my car meeting my friend, the much loved "limiter".

6psi, and (i found out later!) 11 psi netted the same results.

got some mods to do to the 'box, and ill be back out there soon.

one more thing, this car pulls like no tomorrow at 11 psi!

Yes, shame to hear about the RA28 having a smash on the way down Another nice but now bent RA28 - keep yours safe MISFIT.

I picked-up $50 for the 3rd quickest reaction time of the night (0.009 secs), pipped for second by a guy who managed 0.007 secs - doh! And my ugly mug's going to be put on their web site accepting the money

Best run of the night was my first at 15.032 secs, which was OK but a little disappointing as I was hoping to beat my previous best of 14.8 secs. Still happy though with consistent 15 to 15.3 sec passes.

    151.34KPH Terminal Speed and a 2.344 sec 60ft time.

Gene you were jibbed man, You busted out an awesome reaction time on your first pass!! then an even better one on your second pass!! Better watch out for scouts trying to grab dragcar drivers with reaction times like those

I was very happy with my times in the MR2

yeah, im pretty happy.. although i realised half way through the night that i forgot to attach my dipstick, and prob lost a bit of oil along the way, oh and my motor is now really rooted.. but meh..

    Best of the night was a 13.650 @ 166.47kph with a 2.1 60'

got a couple of flat 14's but started wheelspinning on all them runs..

im pretty happy considering i was running 9-10psi and a rooted clutch, im even happier to beat them tools in the vl who thought it was the quickest thing on the planet and were bagging my car.. i managed to miss a gear on a run and still beat em..

Cheers for the crank Eldar, damn thats a heavy mofo!!

P.S where da f**k was everyone??

Oh and saw that s14 on the back of a truck being towed home.. i would have been pissed if that was my car... poor bastard.. bloody nissan drivers

well the only conclusion I can come up with and my disappointing times must be linked to the missing knock sensor..
sending error codes to the ECU and running in some sort of safe mode

It only meant disappointment for me the whole night with only a best time of 16.5s on 5psi.

Anything above 7.5psi (which should be stock boost) it spikes and hits fuel cut..

I look forward to Peewee fixing up the missing wiring and then running this car to its proper potential..
and also wiring in that Fuel Cut Defender donated by Stomps so I can run some decent boost!

I'll post a few pics on the OST website that my brother took..
in the meantime - supra Phil has these shots from the night

a few shots of OST members in there

Joel's RA28 suffered some front end and side panel damage.. perhaps damage to some steering components too..
He's ok tho, as far as I know..

Not too sure on the details of the crash.
Not too sure if his car was insured either!!

    dam shame..
    another RA28 bites the dust..
