i just realised something.. just dragging up an old thread.

on Dyno Day #2.. i think my guess for what RWHP i would get actually was close to the mark and my reading at XSpeed was all wrong.. i should have gotten 147rwhp instead of 121.7...

why?

Dyno Dynamics are set up for 30% drivetrain loss to be factored in. MR2's dont suffer from the same drivetrain loss as all the FR cars do, its closer to 15% loss, so i just realised my reading should have been higher.. *slaps self in head*

so all this time i've been thinking wtf is wrong with my MR2.. theres been nothing wrong with it! its the dyno that wasn't right

Ummm, dude, dyno's measure the output at the wheels.
This is regardless of losses.

The 121rwhp is the output at the wheels, not at the engine.
