You mean it runs on 5 cyls at start up but clears up after a while to run on all six?

Could be something leaking into one of the cyls over time, Leaky inj or something else maybe.

They are famous for the Blown Head gasket so maybe that is starting to sep into one of the cylinders. Not using water is it?

But as Norbie said before start with the basics like plugs leads etc and go from there.

Nip into natrad for a quick T-K Test, peice of mind in case you actually have a BHG, doesnt always seem like it.

although that most probably isnt the cause of your problems, spark plugs, leads, coil packs etc. etc.

sounds electrical to me, check all your injectors are getting powah.

Cold start injector should also be spraying enough fuel for all cylinders to fire on when starting.

So im going to lean towards a spark breakdown.

Firstly, has anyone touched the spark plugs leads recently? They may have put them back on in the wrong order.

The other thing to think about is that the leads become very brittle over time and if you still have factory ones, even the slightest of bending and they stop functioning properly.

After that, check your spark plugs. You may have a very fouled plug in the cylinder with the issues. This could be from the above mentioned BHG or loose cam covers tend to leak oil like a siv down into the valley where the spark plugs are housed.

Can also check the coils, but the factory coils are fairly solid and robust units.

But if the motor comes good when warm i think it will be the spark plug leads.
