the TRD ae101/ae111 4.7 gear is just the crown wheel
so all you need to do is check the pinions which i think are the same

i did have some ratio info on the 6 speeds but cant find it at the moment

Maybe this information on gear ratios, taken from http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=127176 is helpful?

    C56 North American Celica ZZT230 00-05, AE101, AE111 Levin/Trueno
    1st: 3.166
    2nd: 1.904
    3rd: 1.392
    4th: 1.031
    5th: .815
    final drive: 4.312

    C160 Levin/Trueno AE111 6 Speed
    1st: 3.166
    2nd: 2.050
    3rd: 1.481
    4th: 1.166
    5th: 0.916
    6th: 0.725
    Reverse: 3.250
    Final Drive: 4.529

I am looking at attempting closer ratios / better driveline (LSD) for my car, I just need to find a place to get parts from!

I have read of people changing certian gears with gears from other C series boxes as a method of achiving a better gearing.

    what car do you have?

    i can supply TRD LSDs

for a 6 speed the only option if you cant swap some gears from other cars is to get a gear set made. which when iv looked into i can get done for around 3000ish nz

Can't see how they can change the ratio with just the cronwheel and keep the same pinion. The gear height would (should?) have to be different.
    But I'll look into it.

when custom machining a full gear set from billet steel it can soon get exspensive!

just today have maybe found some one who can do full gear box dog gears for around $1500!!

bill, i was suprised too when i opened the box and found just a crown wheel.
