I didn't think so??? I thought you would use the scramble button for that. Have your race setting at the low boost and hit the button once into 2nd or 3rd for full boost.

Or, get some slicks and rear runners and rock hard suspension

I don't think I ever use the low boost setting on my boost controller Nor have I used the per gear settings on the eBoost2.

I nmainly run around at 12.4psi (setting 1) on my Gizzmo
    2nd setting is 14.7psi
    3rd is 16.6psi
4th is not set - no need for anything more than 16.6

    (0.85, 1.00 and 1.15 bar)

And no, the IEBC ( call it the the Gizzmo 1 for ease of seperating them) doesn't have the feature to control different boost levels per gear.

So does the gizzmo 1 bring boost on faster?

On my dyno it seemed to have a bit of boost creep as the boost really comes on slowly. I am going to see if I need to bring it on quicker with a 4000rpm stall but if I do I basically see too options.

    1. EBC of some sort

    2. Nitrous

Looking at the prices of some these boost controllers you can nearly buy a n2o kit which is also going to give you more power and less heat in the converter as it won't take anywhere near as long to stall up.

Currently using a turbotech ebay one which apparently is supposed to bring it on quicker but it certainly doesn't seem to.

Yes the Gizzmo can bring boost on fast as your turbo can produce it. The reasoning is it can prevent all air from reaching the wastegate because it effectively sits in between the compressor cover and the wastegate. The gain feature sets the pressure the controller starts opening.

No wuckas. Any other questions let us know, it's a good bit of kit, and I tried a lot of different things with it, but without control over the sensitivity it wasn't a happy camper with my turbo setup and the way it comes on boost so hard.

mine is the opposite, gets to 5psi and basically sits there and then when it gets past that hurdle it will get to full boost very quickly. Still pretty quick on 5psi I might add but no where near potential

Re the bringing on boost faster...
have a look at the following Dyno sheet from my car..

This was done Before and after the boost controller.

you can see the difference (not only in peak power) but how much quicker and stronger the power is delivered.. the "gap" between 1st and 2nd turbo spooling is eliminated and the flat spot well and truly gone.

    1st Turbo spools to 9psi, 2nd to 16.6psi

Note, I think the 12.4psi is actually wrong as that was the power at about 14.5 psi before the boost controller and 2.5" exhaust restrictor went in..
the full 3" exhaust made it go to about 1 bar - when we fitted the exhaust restrictor, it brought it back down to 12.4 (the lowest it would go to..

I will head back out to Castle Hill Exhausts and get them to check.,.
