Yes been done before many times with the above and custom setups without moving it!
Hey guys just wondering has anyone tried to fit either the 16v bigport manifold or quad throttle bodies on the fwd 4agze.. does the supercharger need to be relocated away abit or it can be done ? i find that the 4agze stock manifold restricts flow and therefor power so if anyone has done this mod please clarify this for me please.

ook thats good news ,, i thought you could only do it if you remove the charger.. Would you have any info on it or pics .. searched google with no luck
can you provide us with some of the many examples mick?Originally Posted by kingmick
reece, do a search for Ben Wilson. he made himself a custom inlet manifold while retaining the s/c's factory location.
if you wanted to use a 4age inlet manifold you will need to lower the s/c approx 3" to clear the manifold.
i have tried to do this before. i was using a RWD manifold and the SC did need to be lowered by bout 3 inches. the only problem them was that the engine mount was in the way, so i didnt do that.
i am currently having a custom manifold made using the stock one and adding new runners and a new plenum. ill get some picks up soon. im also going to be using a holden v6 throttle body
here is a pic when i had the SC lowered and the RWD manifold on

since i cant put the n/a one on. I might aswell look into some cam upgrades, any suggestion cams for a 4agze for reving good throughout rev range without sacrificing low end??
does the supercharger need to be relocated away abit or it can be donei read it as "been done many times with stock manifolds, after moving the SC... OR... you can use a custom inlet and not move the SC"Originally Posted by kingmick
now... what about with the T3 manifold adaptor? does that move the quads up high enough?

I'd be very surprised if they did. I don't have any pictures of mine, but I had to turn it a lot tighter than I like to get it through the gap.Originally Posted by oldcorollas

I will see if i can find you some pictures and scan them for you as i have started getting into all the Movers boxes in the garage and there is a couple somewere while loads of photos , only taken a year and a half to get into the boxes!hahahah.
sweet thanks
The T3 manifold puts the quads directly inline with the ports, completely horizontal. Also it mounts the quads upside down, which is optimal but places the throttle cable at the bottom which is sure to foul on the SC if the quads themselves dont. Hell even the water pipe going back only just fits in.Originally Posted by oldcorollas

Yep - thats why I sold my t3 manifold. There was no way that it was going to fit on the AW11 with the supercharger in there.
The 20v head (with itbs) will fit quite nicely with the supercharger in the stock location. Looks pretty neat too. For the cost that you can find a 20v head these days it's well worth considering for a swap. It would be marginally more expensive than just buying the 20v throttles without getting a manifold to mount them on the head.
