Apparently JZA80 calipers measure 70mm from the rotor face to the outward face of the caliper.

I only have 57mm to play with and i can't increase the hat height any further without fouling the steering arm.

Due to the bolt spacing issues the summitomo nissan 4 spots have been ruled out as the calipers cannot gain full face pad contact on a 324mm rotor (which will be required to mount the caliper as they can't get in any closer for a smaller diameter rotor.)

R33 GTR brembo's will also foul the back of my rim.

Going to borrow some brakes and mock them up and see how i go with those.

You may also want to consider some Mazda RX7 Series4/5 4spots, or even the S6/7s. They tend to be more customisable than the Sumitomos.

    Need to minimise 'A'.

They would have to be significantly narrower caliper than the R33 one to clear the back of the rim spokes.

Yeah, the RX7 calipers are a reasonable amount narrower than the Sumitomos.

Fairly hard to see in this pic, but the close face is quite narrow. Esp compared to the fat arsed Sumitomos.

    Bumping this thread with updates.

Been working on an A70/Z20 upgrade for a coupla weeks now, and finally got my ass into gear and did something.

The upgrades I am working on is
FPV BA GT 325mm PBR calipers to FPV BA GT-P 355mm rotors.

    FPV option.

Here is a pic comparing 355mm to stock GZ20 277mm

*bump* and +1 rep for CrUZida

    -- EDIT --

are the FPV BA GT-P 355mm rotors a direct bolt on for the A70 or are modifications required for that also?

Discs are a direct fit over non ABS hubs.
Haven't tried fitting over ABS hubs.

You also need a hubcentric ring.

Nice, my brembos look good on the FPV rotors, I was a bit worried they'd look like the
R32 GTS-T calipers on the GTR rotors and not cover the full surface of the rotor but they look real good.

For those interested the R33 GTR calipers pictured are around $1800 for both the 4 piston front and the 2 piston rears.
