    Reusing old bolts: $0
Writing off your project car with a rogue flywheel: $8,000
    Buying a wheelchair-capable Tarago: $65,000

So you can use your old bolts for "free" and pay $73,000... or just replace them for $25.

Sure it's not commonplace, but if you've ever seen a flywheel come loose and destroy a car you'll know what I'm talking about.

I need new flywheel bolts, for my CA18DET. Nissan want $10.50 ea, x 8 bolts. Fucking. And they're the sort with a shoulder near the head, so i need to get the right ones.

Quite lame, my brother in law owns a bolt / steel supplies shop too. Gah

Ok, from personal experience, I reused flywheel bolts, then the bolts came undone, and let the fly wheel loose...

So, from now on, I use NEW ones (for the whole $6 it cost me) AND I put loctite on them.

I would have done this without even thinking about it previously, i never thought of them in the same light as stretch head bolts.. But it makes no difference in any case, i'm changing motor from auto to manual so the bolts i need are much longer, and i munted 2 of the old ones anyway
