    1jz-rolla:

Mounting points for me is 232mm
    Total diameter is 277mm
    Width is 86mm.

Mine is the custom tarago housing but started as a jzx81 chaser converter.

It sounds like you may have the larger 2jz one like 2jzr31 is talking about? What car did you get the converter from?

How can your diameter be 295mm? It looks the same as mine visually.

    Hmmm, getting confusing hey?!?

Re-measured the diameter of mine, its closer to 290mm.

Whats the difference between an A340 & A341 gearbox? The website below seems to show my converter as matching the A341 (see the different pilot design that locates in the back of the crank), yet my gearbox is clearly marked on the ID plate as A30/40. I bought the box & converter together, meant to be removed from a 2JZGTE, but things don't seem to be matching up.

    The jzx81 has the A341LE.

Doesn't look like there is any difference to me?

I am actually fitting it to a jzx90 box which I don't even know the code for but I figure it should be fine

Just did a quick search and it appears that 1st gear is taller in the A341.

When working out how many splines the converter has, is it the smaller diameter section, or the larger one that you need to count? My gearbox is in the car still, so I cant look at the input shaft.

[EDIT] ignore that last question, its the smaller one The other is for the stator.
    My convertor is 20 spline

Did you check out that converter identification website I linked? Which one matches the pilot on your converter? Is it stepped or cup shaped?

I can't really tell? Mine has been chopped and welded back together so it doesn't really look like either of them?

placenta: can you please count the number of splines inside your converter?

Any chance of a picture from the side to compare its thickness? (with or without feet )

    Cheers

here you go, mostly similar, just one measurement is very interesting

    JZA70 item from a 30 42LE box

    JZZ30 item from a 30 40LE box

what would that thinner measruement mean to the converter?

Mine is from an A340E Aristo.

38 spline outer (could be out a spline or 2)
20 spline inner (could be out a spline or 2)
    300mm wide
    115mm thick

Apparently this converter costs a lot more to mod because its needs to be fully Frankensteined up with a smaller one since the large size does not lend itself to becoming a high stall well. This is what Peter from QCES told me.
