    Default 2tg electronic ignition...

    Hey guys,
Trying to work out how to set up the electronic ignition to a 2tg running twin carbs. There is a 2 wire plug from the dissy. This connects to either side of the coil. Then there are 3 wires coming off the igniter. A black with white stripe wire, a blue wire and a red wire. The black with white splits into 2 more. Any thoughts...

I was under the impression the igniter was required to boost the signal....? I know people have run them before though...

Iam in the same boat as your shelldrake, but I have not got the ignitor yet but when I do I'll need the wiring diagram as well.

The early 2TGEUs had an external igniter, later ones had internal. If its Internal you should have two wires coming out of it, can't remember colours, but on the black plastic inside the dizzy covering the igniter (and theres another one covering the pick-up) it indicates which wire should go where, by a B or C or something (I didn't know my first dizzy was internal and broke it so had to get an externally regulated one from NZ - bummer...).

    yeah. look inside the dizzy
if its got two "kidneys" or black things innit, then its got an internal ignitor.
if only one, then it requires an external ignitior
as my 2T is in pieces i'll grab a pic tonite
