    that sounds dangerous.....

with the different oxygenation levels and different densities of fuels, it sounds a bit silly to just whack a different fuel in and then up the boost without checking...
did the extra kw come from having a poor tune before? too much timing perhaps?

and more importantly.. is this for a dyno queen type thing (just a few L here and there) or for track days where you will use a little more??

will you be changing maps for the different fuels... or just tuning to the better fuel on boost, and leaving it at the safer of the two maps for low boost, so then you can run either fuel on the same map?

the extra kw came from timing i only use the hi boost and fuel for dyno days track days and down the quarter.

i dont change maps iam only running a ems stinger 4424 so on low boost or bottom part of the map i use i use standard 98 ron and on the hi boost top part of the map i use the martini 110 ron

Elf is the best race fuel, you'll make soooo much more power and the stuff burns so clean ans is so reliable that it's worth every dollar.

P.S. You think $6/L is expensive, go race a 125GP bike and then you'll see, $9/L!

Ever thought about experimenting with Tolulene?? that stuff is available for $40 for a 20L drum. It can safely be mixed with 98 ron unleaded, and wont hurt oxygen sensors. It was used in the 80's for the 72PSI F1 cars. Im surprised Mick hasnt suggested this one. I used to stick about 3-4ltrs into a 50 Ltr fill of 98 Ron when I was running my 10/5:1 18RG, and it really made a difference. Most notably the lack of pinging. It smoothed out the idle a lot, and made the top end quite slick. Not too bad on the wallet too. Its rated at somewhere around 140RON. Theres quite a bit of literature on the web about the gear, worth looking into.

For those who dont know, its the main constituent of paint thinner, and we all know how well that shit ignites. Burns cleaner too.

Was good to use when super was around, but if you have a look at whats already in the unleaded fuels you will see why it wont make as much diffrence as it used to! Your better of with one of the race fuels for limited use type of thing. You can make your own race fuels, but its only cost effective in decent size batches.
It really isnt worth playing around with toulene now days. If you do use it, be careful as it isnt health for you.

you need atleast 20% toulene to make it noticeable and 30% max.

Tolulene itself isnt that bad for your health. Its when it has impurities such as Benzene in it that it becomes quite toxic. When it was used for F1, it was around 86% tolulene in their fuel, and the rest was a 'filler' hydrocarbon to keep the octane levels to within the specified restriction levels. Still could be well worth Flynsx looking into it to prevent detonation.

Yes the toluene is why the fuels are at 98ron now if you look at the fuel data sheets for the 98ron fuels etc my post before will make sense.

edited because some bugger above put Benzene in my head instead of what i was talking about! hahahahahahah

    so Stew.
