I use 100LL (low lead av-gas) It’s about 108 octane and enough to allow a little more timing and still be safe without breaking the bank.
As for the comments about making more power.... “Race fuel” won’t make more power, in fact if your car isn’t tuned for it you will probably make less as they are "lazy fuels" You will use more "race fuel” per litre than regular fuel to make the same power. The timing you can dial in and the state of tune you can achieve on a higher octane fuel is where the power lies. That and as stated above, gee it smells good burning............![]()
