    They ran 72PSI boost, had a stroke as long as ya little fingernail is wide(thats why they rev), 12 cylinders, and ran on 89ish % toluene(they were restricted as to how much octane they could run, otherwise they would have ran 100% toluene) and produced a measily 1500hp (1000hp per litre)!!

    So hows that for trivia??

    There were other engines though... Honda V6, BMW even used a 4 potter. Later years saw the boost being limited, and fuel amounts being limited also, until boost was banned fullstop. Just imagine though, if ground effects and turbocharging were still allowed, without restriction, just how fast they'd be going NOW...
