i always assumed the 7mgte ran a bigger clutch, but the 5m-e to 7mge's all ran the smaller one. There are enough people running the 5m-e clutch on 7mgtes to be sure that you shouldnt have a problem without a turbo

    Okay,

The 5M's had a 225mm clutch and a few RARE 236mm clutches. The flywheels are to suit.
The 7MGE has a 240mm clutch. If you can find a 240mm flywheel to suit or have one yourself already on the back of your engine, i am very jealous of you.
The 7MGTE has a 240mm clutch also but it is a pull type clutch unlike the push type of the naturally aspirated engines. The flywheels are different between the 7MGE's and 7MGTE's also. Same size of course but different.

You can run a 5M (225mm) HD clutch behind the 7M. Heck i think the clutch behind my 6M was a stock standard 5M clutch. She slipped a little on occasion when you hammered the launches.

wiring should be close to idectical engine wise
cant imagine it being hard at all really

if i use a cressy motor (front sump) will i still need to use the 5me sump and oil pump?

and also relocate the oil dipstick? why does this need to be moved? does it foul with the chassis or somthing?

    thanks

If you use a MX83 motor it will be already be front sump so you won't need to change the sump or pickup

Again you only need to relocate the oil dipstick if you're changing from Mid sump to Front sump

No, use the 7M engine ecu!

There really aren't that many wires that need to be connected / integrated

5m should have the pin designation etched into the PCB crack the ecu case open (open both sides)
