do not talk to me about Sae, you talking students with advisers. They Know shit about anything relating to racing. The only good Sae team is woolongong and the one that put them there is chis dowd, one of my best mates. the only reason he does it, is he is like me and he loves motorsport in any form exept a few of the fringe dwellers.
    lmao

Two of our present/past team members are professional drivers: one in Formula Ford, another in stock cars/super sedans. Sure, it's not heaps, but we make do. Other members of the team have been involved for 3-4 years, so at least they have experience in SAE (even if the knowledge means little for any other formula)

nothing wrong with the fordies or the dirt boys! but niether needs to be spot on! there setups dont allow them to need to be spot on! they get more from tyre pressure.

it does! many hours of trial and error! Even the best get it wrong at times. There only saving grace is that they know from expericiance how to get back out of it.
The Sae guys must wonder why no one gives them a go in the higher levels. The ones that do, either have pull or they are lucky

Trust me, we play around with tyre pressures too. But noticeable gains have been made (with a consistent driver, at least) with adjusting corner weights. Seeing as our we're into the second year of this car, experimenting and testing with various suspension settings is one of the bigger ways of making the car goes fast, and we don't have to worry as much about trying to build the car at the same time. We didn't have this car finished until a week or so before the competition last year (apart from the too-loud muffler and suspension damage caused by hitting a concrete pole in the carpark), and didn't even run reliably until the morning that we drove down to Melbourne (dodgy Haltech didn't give us the plastic spacer for the plug to connect the loom to the ECU)

SoQu ran carbie last year (CBR F4), nothing wrong with the old mechanical injection (especially since a lot of motorbikes kept carbies up until a few years ago)

What are you trying to say about me and other people in my profession?? If we guess, its only because there are not serious retributions to doing so. You should see the amount of calculations that go into putting new lights into a shed in a workshop so that mechanics can see. Its not just about getting the brightest bulb you can find.
