looking into buying some dori x2 15x6.5 +30 wheels. they are pretty cheap but the owner has reversed the face to make them a negative offset.

I've searched all over and can't find any info. Wondering if there are ill side effects to this process???

If he's simply changed the hoops around, no problems, especially if both hoops have a faced finish (not many do, so anyone else contemplating this swap would also be up for finishing to make the mags look respectable. I assume your wheel bearings are suitable for the different load, but given some of the wheel sizes and offsets people try to run these days ...

and yeah, if the hoops are swapped it will probably look ugly but be ok. fyi: neither of my 3-piece rims (Work and Simmons) have a proper finish on the inner hoops

As long as all the bolts were done up in the right pattern to the right torque settings and the factory balance wasn't upset...

thanks for all the replies! i'm assuming he's an 86 noob given his join date on the forum and most of the things they do these days...i sold both my 86's over 3 yrs ago. but these are going on my mx73 for the time being.. i was just going to turn them back to stock. i don't feel like changing my bearings all the time!

since they are only 160 USD i think i'm going to pick them up..have them polished and if i don't like them re-sell them. should be able to get at least what i put into them in return.. especially cleaned up.

as far as all the bolts in the right pattern.. are there any markings to look for???
