Note the eBay plugs are aluminum with a magnetic slug in the middle. II purchased one and I'll let you know how hard it is to take out of my cast aluminum sump at the next oil change. I hope it doesn't corrode in place,

midnightmods in Vic have millions of them for sale, try their website...I've had one in my sump for a couple of years and no probs. If I had an alloy sump though I would coat the thread...

I had the pleasure of an alloy sump & steel plug on one of my bikes. Of course, you can imagine what happened to the thread

All you need to do is find the thread dia & pitch and get one that matches. It's unlikely that it will be specifically sold as a "4AGZE Magnetic Sump Plug"

As much as I hate autobarn you would probably have luck taking your existing plug to one of the larger stores, and having them match it up with one.

I'll have a look and see if I have a spare midnight mods one. I have one in the Levin and Sera, plus used them in other cars with no dramas.
If I've got one you can grab it next time you're around.

if steel sump, just whack a hard drive magnet on the bottom? probably more effective... (less so for inspection tho)
or whack a few around the filter...

or get normal sump plug, drill.. stick in strong magnet = win?

Yeap I drill the sump plug and add strong magnet, also add a bit of jbweld just in case. Super strong small rare earth magnets can be got from dealextreme for a few bucks.

You actually don't need to drill the sump plug, the magnet will stay on the sump plug quite well and the pickup screen will save it from ever being sucked up just in case.

What you do need to be aware of is that magnets loose their magnetic force as their core temperature increases, so pick the right type of neo magnet and you will be fine.

I've used the above method in the gearbox, which should aerate and slush the oil past the sump plug much more violently than any crankshaft could, and the magnet hasn't disappeared (lol) yet.

wrap the sump plug with a one piece of wire (round & round a few times) and connect one end to + battery and the other to - battery and it will magnitise whatever is wrapped inside the wire............try it it works on screwdrivers..............
