    Default Can anybody identify this turbo?

    Cant really pull up much info on this little bitch through google.

    Pretty small, i bought it almost new "apparently"" and by the looks of it it hasnt seen much use. Was told it came off an Evo of some series but im unsure and cant find much info at all.

    Its going on my daily once it has been run in, and i'd just like to see if its gonna be hard to source parts if come the unfortunate event that i need to rebuild it.

    pics;

    weird - googling the first line (and second line) on the tag suggests it's from a SsangYong 2.7l diesel - which should be a GT2056 series turbo.

    But the A/R Ratio on the compressor housing doesn't match (should be .55):

    Take to a turbo shop and get more advice?

    tis a little odd,

    Aint no turbo shops up here but, so im kinda limited to info... the rear housing if i remember right is .40

    ill get some more pics up soon of the rear housing, it has a 3 bolt inlet flange and like a merged dump/outlet.. wierd little tubo.

    does it look like the turbo pictured on the garrett page?

    edit: being a garrett, you'll be able to get it rebuilt at most competent turbo workshops. You're rural? any truck workshops around? ask where they get turbos rebuilt. Might be worth asking the seller some hard questions and then lurking in some Evo forums.

    edit 2: it could have been rebuild by a garrett workshop - they fix those tags to most things they unmunt. The numbers they put on the tags usually link back to something useful.
