Hi guys, again i require the help of my fellow toymodders -
I'm having multiple electrical based dramas with a GX71 Cresta. For those not familiar with them, they're basically a MX73 with GZ11 running gear and plush interior. I put up another thread a few weeks back but never really resolved any issues.
The vehicle runs a Gen 1 1GGTE (yellow injector and ecu plugs) with either an A43DE or A430E Transmission, I am unsure as to which it is. As a preface, i've tested every bloody fuse in the car.
Fault 1 - Transmission possibly in limp home mode
Transmission is taking off in 3rd gear as though it is in limp home mode. I can't tell you when it started because it's been like this since the owner of the car bought it. Everything is plugged in. As far as i can tell it does not have a separate control module for the transmission, everything seems to run straight into the engine controller. I need some things to look for here as i'm running out of ideas fast.
Fault 2 - No Digital dash readings
While the digital dash back-lighting works when the headlights and such are switched on, there are no digital readouts coming up when the ign is switched on or the engine is running. No speedo, no tacho, no temp, no fuel, no nothing. Ideas?
Fault 3 - Poor idle / hard starting
I am pretty sure I have this one sorted out - the intake pipe is quite ratty between the AFM and the throttlebody and i suspect having a new one made up will solve this problem.
Fault 4 - BONUS PRIZE - Check engine light on
Had a thread primarily looking at this issue HERE. Trouble code 54 is set: -no signal to water to air I/C pump computer-
I am unable to locate said computer, all wiring for the pump seems to be in place although checking it is difficult at best. Any ideas are great.
THIS CAR IS DOING MY HEAD IN. Please lend a hand if you can!
Thanks in advance,
Javal.

Fault 1:
Sounds like either the trans ecu is unplugged, or something is not getting power. (assuming its not a failed solenoid).
What happens when you take off with the shifter in L ?
Fault 2:
Are they reading 0, or not appearing at all?
If its the latter, try fuses, I'm pretty sure there are two +12V feeds to the dash, both need to work (one is the GAUGE fuse, can't remember the other)
Fault 3:
Fix the other faults, and this may solve itself (along with the new inlet)
Fault 4:
On my MZ10 the intercooler ecu was located in the passengers kick panel, start there.
It could be unplugged, or not getting power.

UPPPPDATED!
Here are some pictures of what we've been scratching our heads over:
Here are the plugs for the auto trans harness. There are no plugs on the trans which you can remove from the outside?
They follow around behind the heater hose
And bite into the main loom
which ends up here, as this clusterfuck (Engine controller disconnected for illustration purposes)
So from pulling half the interior apart, as far as i can see this vehicle does not have a separate auto trans control unit? Somebody PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong.
Anyway, here are some of the little control modules inside. Someone pipe up if they can identify one of these as the W2A intercooler pump controller
Above the glovebox / ecu cavity:
In the L/H kick panel:
Bonus points to whoever can identify this transmission. If we come up without results we may throw a solenoid at it, but we can't work out whether it's an A430E or A43DE. There is no build plate on the car.

Gauges - These are the fuses required, no?

NFI on LCE, but GAUGES is right.
Get a better photo of the blue plate on the tranny.
Every single module in the car (except the black 12V Denso one) will have what it is cast into it.
Pull them out, turn them around, have a look at them.
If there is only 1 main ecu, then you have a joint auto/engine ecu. Have a good look around, the ECT ecu (if there is one) can be pretty small.
Does it have 1G-GT A/T on it?

I was hoping to get some answers here too
I have 4 1ggte wiring looms and they all seem different. I have the small auto computer your are asking about only fits on one loom i have which is fucked and has yellow plugs. I have a gen 3 in my car with grey plugs.
For the loom i have on my engine, I have a 1GGTE A/T computer, i also have another another computer which i dont need that has 1GGTE M/T.
So im guessing I dont need the small auto computer for a Gen 3 or am i going to have the same limping problems here.
Sucks having 4 different looms non of the main efi plugs or Circuit open relay plugs match up on any of these and i'm missing a bit or another of each one. Who can i send it to and modify my loom for my RA28?
The early yellow plug A/T ecu's will require the separate ECT ecu, but the grey plug A/T ecu's will have the ECT bits inside them.
M/T ecu's will not control an auto without a custom box of tricks (ie, not worth it).
Sideshow will be able to modify your loom to suit your car.
