    I had similar issue with my RN25 housing and true trak, Not sure how it went together but my diff guy said he threw away my RN25 centre housing and used a later model one when fitting UZS131 3.9's and the true trak

    Just reading the information on removing metal from the pinion to allow for clearence so I thought I'd pass this on.

    When fitting ARB airlockers to Hilux diff's in the instruction manual it refers to the need for grinding metal off the top of the pinion to allow clearence of the air locker centre. I have done this in a number of cars, some being good friends of mine and have never seen a pinion brake because of it so I wouldn't be at all concerned about removing 1mm or even 2-3 for that matter as it seems to make next to no difference to the strength of the pinion.

    Most competition Hilux's are running reasonable HP with 1uz motors and ARB airlockers and pinion failure is not something that ever seems to be an issue.

    The last 2 I did where on LN106 Hilux front diffs - 4.3 gears and both required pinions to be ground smaller, and the one before that was a Hilux centre but unsure of model as it was done to a diff a mate bought.

    The ARB manual for installing air lockers states that it may need to be done. Part number or locker from memory is RD132.

    This is the ARB site that states about pinion grinding;

    http://www.arb.com.au/resources/pdf/airLockers/5-06.pdf

    Obviously its must not be all of them if you have never had to do it....

    i put a ma70 clutch pack lsd and gearset in my yn57 2wd, i had to have the bearing carries turned down to fit hilux bearings as the internal bore was bigger on hilux....as far as fitting it was fine, tight to get in initially but yeah worked perfect...

    Ah RD132 , the new ones , ive only fitted a few and all to OE geared diffs.
    Another reason the older RD23 is better but still a reason not to use them .
    Check one of the side gears , it has a female circlip groove machined in it and on some applications the axel only engages on 20 mm of axel spline . after 100000klm = chopped out splines.

    You will need a spacer and the appropriate bearings.
