    Something to think about….
Im not trying to put anyone off, just making sure all Drivers are fully aware of the finical requirements for entering the 6 hour.
Cost Summary for entering 6 Hour
Must participate in the FUN DAY at Winton Moto Race Way!
    Fun Day $100ish?
    When: July 3rd
Petrol: approximately 1 tank each way, plus petrol for the track
Accommodation: Optional for Fun days – 1 night

    6 hour event $230ish
    Tyers
Safe alterations to pass scrutineering – fire extinguisher, rims etc
Petrol: To and from the track and return to Melbourne, and on the track – this depends on your track time
(Most drivers would be expecting to drive for close to 1 hour each).
BBQ lunch for both days, including drinks and snacks
(Last year we charged $15 per person, this will increase)
Accommodation: 2 nights for 6 hour event/ Camping near track or on private property

Alison, i modified your post a little to clarify the situation.

Some basic costs to consider :

It is important to have extensive track experience prior to the 6 hour. Each driver must have participated in at least a Fun Day, a Test 'n Tune, or a Sprint Day at Winton
    - Fun Days cost $30. There is only one prior to the 6hour and it is on the 3rd of July.
    - Test 'n Tune days cost $120. See the Winton Motor Raceway website for dates. CLICK HERE
    - Sprint Days cost... ???

Petrol is a cost that needs to be factored in: You can easily use a few of tanks of fuel on the weekend between your tow car and the race car.

Accommodation: Most motels at Benalla cost around $40(ish) per night per person. You can camp at the track if you wish though.

Tyres: These things aren't cheap, if you need new ones for the event they're a decent cost to factor in.

Make sure your car will pass scruitineering : Anything you need to buy, or alter, needs to be done well before the event. On race day, anyone found stuffing about with obvious little things (eg: fire extinguisher brackets, seatbelts, metal tyre caps, headlight tape) will not be popular. Read and re-read the regulations... there's no excuses.

During the 6hour you need to be prepared to be on the track for about an hour if required. Make sure you and your car will be able to manage this.

Stickers and T-shirts: Stickers were a nominal charge last year. T-shirts worked out to be $35, however shirts may not happen this year.

    Food :

Breakfasts : Sort this shit out yourselves. Obvious choice is MacDonalds.

Lunches : BBQ lunch for both days, including drinks and snacks: Trang (and anyone she recruits as subservient workers) will be in charge of providing food. Everyone that wants to eat will be expected to chip in dollars for food costs. Last year we charged $15 per person, this may need to increase.

Dinners : We will most likely eat out as a group for the Saturday night, and stop somewhere on the way home for Sunday night.

Yeah, I thought the Fun Days were cheaper but I wasn't sure.

Anyone who would like to be provided with lunch will have to deposit their money into my account a month before the event because there was a lot of confusion last year.

This goes for any group costs. It's a lot of work to organise some things for the group. Trying to chase people up for a few dollars is not only a little bit embarrassing, it's a sign that the hard work of the organisers is not being appreciated. They shouldn't have to wear extra costs on top of doing extra work.

Hey Slim.......maybe need to change the "extensive track experience" to just having competed in 1 or more club events at Winton........don't want to be putting off the young up and comers ...yes in a perfect world we should all be out on track every weekend, but as this started out as a way for Toyota guys and gals to get into club motorsport it should be stressed that anyone who hasn't done this before should familiarise themselves with the track and their cars performance at the track prior to the event........anything more is a bonus.

OUR team requires extensive track experience. OTHER team/s can stipulate whatever the fuck they desire.
