Something to think about….
Im not trying to put anyone off, just making sure all drivers are fully aware of the financial requirements for entering the 6 hour.
Some basic costs to consider :
It is important to have extensive track experience prior to the 6 hour. Each driver must have participated in at least a Fun Day, a Test 'n Tune, or a Sprint Day at Winton
- Fun Days cost $30. There is only one prior to the 6hour and it is on the 3rd of July.
- Test 'n Tune days cost $120. See the Winton Motor Raceway website for dates.

- Sprint Days cost... ???
Petrol is a cost that needs to be factored in: You can easily use a few of tanks of fuel on the weekend between your tow car and the race car.
Accommodation: Most motels at Benalla cost around $40(ish) per night per person. You can camp at the track if you wish though.
Tyres: These things aren't cheap, if you need new ones for the event they're a decent cost to factor in.
Make sure your car will pass scruitineering : Anything you need to buy, or alter, needs to be done well before the event. On race day, anyone found stuffing about with obvious little things (eg: fire extinguisher brackets, seatbelts, metal tyre caps, headlight tape) will
not be popular. Read and re-read the regulations... there's no excuses.
During the 6hour you need to be prepared to be on the track for about an hour if required. Make sure you and your car will be able to manage this.
Stickers and T-shirts: Stickers were a nominal charge last year. T-shirts worked out to be $35, however shirts may not happen this year.
Food :
Breakfasts : Sort this shit out yourselves. Obvious choice is MacDonalds.
Lunches : BBQ lunch for both days, including drinks and snacks: Trang (and anyone she recruits as subservient workers) will be in charge of providing food. Everyone that wants to eat will be expected to chip in dollars for food costs. Last year we charged $15 per person, this may need to increase.
Dinners : We will most likely eat out as a group for the Saturday night, and stop somewhere on the way home for Sunday night.
