Map or AFM signal? Any codes coming up on the computer?
If map check the vac line and the voltages it produces are with spec
If AFM check for vac leaks post AFM
Hi
I recently had some work done on my GZE.
New water pump
new timing belt
new thermostat
Full cooling system flushout and new coolant
All back together, went for a drive, after 10 minutes of driving, as soon as i give it some boost (over 3 PSI~) the motor chokes and loses power instantly.
Things I have tried so far to fix it:
tightened SC belt
checked SC oil - clean and full
changed spark plugs
cleaned distributor contacts and rotor
cleaned all connectors with wd40
Does anyone ave any tips?
MODS:
Nevo 175mm
W2a intercooler

its AFM, I had to take the intercooler out to get to the thermostat, so perhaps their is a leak. I will also do a code check. Thanks.
im with kedderz. check for a vaccum leak.
Also double check your timing?

dont have a timing light...
The car actually goes hard for the first 5 minutes of driving making full power, but after 5-10 minutes the problem starts and progressively gets worse??
I just took cooler out and put it back in, didnt find anything loose or leaking...

sounds simular to the problem i had in the lil feral, i feel i have solved the problem by doing the static timing again. the whole lot was a tooth off from the crank.
i suggest you check your static timing before trying to time it with the timing light.
*edit* i've re-read you posts old. you say your's goes well for a few minutes first. the lil feral bogged from the start.*
still would be worth checking the static timing, cam timing etc.
hey i had similar porblem recently, my water temp sensor on rear of head had the connector come loose, double check that, oh and does any one know if the boost is meant to bleed rapidly from ~9ish to ~5psi?? i know the abv bleeds but thought it stopped 9. engine is stockl afm dli...?
OK guys I will get the timing checked asap. When the timing belt was put on the cam gears and crank were lined up perfectly with the dots on the head/block. My mechanic buddy took care of this part and I held the cam gears in place while he laid the belt
one thing i forgot to mention is that last night when in Hungry Jacks drive through, a god awful squeeling sound was coming from the pulleys/supercharger area. I hope my SC isnt dying... This morning, no noise, but problem is still apparent.

Triple check your SC tension....
And also make sure your tensioner pulleys are not rubbing on the metal brackets....mine did that and it was a horrible noise...I ended up spacing the pulley with 2 small washers and the sound disapered...
As for your boost problems, I have no idea, just double check vacuum lines...I can't offer much more help

Went to Toof Garage yesterday.
Timing was out, but fixing it didnt fix the issue. SC belt is uber tight and SC produces full bost until problem begins occuring.
We are confident its getting enough fuel, as when you give it a rev to WOT black smoke and fuel are coming out the exhaust.
We have narrowed it down to spark as when the issue occurs all 4 cylinders stall. .Plugs have been swapped, dizzy has had all contacts cleaned and rotor, leads are all relatively new and in good order.
Attempted to swap out the coil this morning with a spare, but car would not start...
THE SAGA continues...
Don't know the 4agze, but it could be the ignition modules, when they go they typically run fine cold and stuff up when they heat up.
