try gapping plugs first... its free lol
Coilpacks, Ignitor, Leads.
Check them off your list.
Then as above, check ecu for blown caps.

Nope don't have a bonnet scoop n there's no water or oil in the sparkplug valley, was the first thing I checked
The leads and plugs are brand new but ill check for any oily residue tonight and check the plug gap,
Is there anyway to check the ignitor and coil packs?

Its a stock engine besides a pod filter, fuel pressure reg and a metal head gasket,
Would the capacitors in the ecu cause it to stop n then happen again?
And could it be anything on the fuel side of things?

Either or. Could be caps (They are usually stuffed anyway, I fixed two silvertop ECU's just this weekend) or it could be a stuffed fuel pressure regulator. (I might even have a spare one of those too, maybe).
The easiest way to test the coilpacks and ignitor is to swap in known working units from a working engine. But you need to find someone to swap from while you test...
1.1mm is a big gap even for stock specs, i think it would make the world of difference but if you dont wanna try then thats up to you...
0.6mm hey if it doesnt work you can always put them back to 1.1mm and call me a dickhead![]()
Fuel pressure reg is a brand new malpassi rising rate one so it shouldn't be stuffed
Can the caps make that much diff? Like make it miss that badly?
Yea Im going to try changing the gap tonight and see what happens

After a little research, it seems stock gap is actually 0.8mm. Pandaah may be correct about the gap.
NGK BCPR6EP-N8
The N8 at the end is the gap, 0.8mm
Don't know about the capacitors in your ECU unless you try. Can you open your ECU and take a photo to see if they're leaking?
The spark plugs I got on the weekend from auto1 were BCPR6ES - 11 I think so im guessing there 1.1mm then
The platinums I had were cracked so I just got standard non platinums

Yea, you got 1.1mm. Try regapping to 0.8mm and see how you go.

you may think im stupid for saying this but its definetly true.. what effects one engine may not effect another... ive had some nissan engines on higher than stock boost that run fine and others run like shit and misfire until ive gapped the plugs...
btw anyluck solving the misfire or gapping the plugs etc?
Nope haven't touched it tonight due to this fcuking rain and I don't have access to a garage or carport at the moment due to renovations ats home![]()
