both will require surgery and you will need to remove the front timing cover from the motor.
both are interchangeable with 2T-G.
You can remove both without taking the head off IF you have 2 bolts instead of studs and nuts holding the front of the head onto the timing cover. Chances are they are studs and you will need to remove the head.
Once the head is off, remove the 4 x 12mm socket bolts that hold the front of the sump up on the timing cover and you should be sweet.
Of coarse you will need to drain coolant, remove crank pully, exhaust manifold off the exhaust ports and so on. You can leave the water pump on if you like but if it looks sus replace it. You could re-use the timing cover gaskets by using a bit of silicone, or else buy or make your own but make sure they make a proper seal cause your water pump depends on this.
