I've only had a brief look, but it looks dificult as. Am i going to run into any problems swapping over the injectors? Or is it alot easier than it seems?
I kinda wanted to drive to the tuner and swap them there, but that seems its going to be outa the question...
Also wanna install a adjustable fuel reg, whats involved here? I will take all photos as i go along regardless so hopefuly this doesnt have to get asked again
Cheers,
jase
isnt you got a power fc? if you install the injectors get on the laptop and change was cc its running off wont it tune itself to at least make it to the tuners?
Adjustable FPR piece of piss, on the return line after the rail simply cut the hose and put the reg in, oh and it help's if you mount the reg

Oh, and dont have a computer with plug for the PowerFC + i dont trust my 0 knowledge of the software/how to tune...

stock one should be mounted on the rail, you may have to get a speed flow replacement barb fitting because from memory there are a weird sized thread and no one else will have the fittings

shouldnt have to tune, i thought you just enter all the specs and let it work its magic, all you have to do would change what size the injectors are. shorely you know some who has one they can lend you?

LOL The tuner?
Is okay, i have a trailer and a tow car. So no big deal getting it to the tuner, plus the whole compression map is going to be different now, so i need to tune the car regardles...

Jase

If you are towing it to the tuners, change them at home and then will be good to go at tuners.
Thats the plan! Sweet, i'll try with the plenum on, and if i fail, i'll do as little work as neccessary to get it off...

there is way to much procrastination in this thread for the 30mins work required to do the job at hand, less typing more working.

My mate done the swap with manifold on in under 90 minutes for his 1st attempt. Little fiddly, but rather simple once you get stuck into it he reckons.

it is easier if you back the top section of the manifold off and move it out of the way but only if you have easy access to the bolts, if not just persevere with it and it will happen.

According to my tuner, the 1J fuel regs run out at high 2**rwkw... So i opted for a bigger one to allow me to get as close to 300 as possible...

Jase
Wow, 1st time ive heard that . I know ive seen people make 350+ on a stock fpr .

I wasnt sure, just assumed he'd have a better idea than me. I think the FPR might just get unsteady at higher power, and he likes to tune them really tidy for street driving..?
I have no idea...

your tuner is feeding you lies.
many people running much more than 300rwkw on stock reg. nothing wrong with them at all. they are not a restriction at all.
if you have a powerfc and hand controller you can do the injector adjustment so runs a bit smoother but i have run 440's on the stock map and it still runs but just crazy rich.
