Hi,
Got a customers car in at work...
Kit Car Lamborghini Countach running a Lexus Quad Cam V8...
He's fitted a supercharger and now it's being starved of fuel...
Running the standard Lexus ECU and standard injectors won't cut it anymore...
I'm unsure of the Supercharger Brand but I'm 95% sure it's under 10psi boost...
He's asked me to research a suitable ECU, Injectors and a Tuner to do all the work...
Would anyone know the information I'm after???
Thanks in advance...
Ben...
Talk to these guys.

While i dont know the answers to your specific question, i have a few more that you might want to answer before getting a suitable answer from us.
How do you know its being starved of fuel, has it been on a dyno and what are the fuel ratios like? What is the fuel pump being used and the base fuel pressure? How is the fuel system setup in the car and how much would it be different than standard? Also, what is the aim for the car and is there any plans to modify it further as you may as well plan for those now to minimise the need to change later.
seconding the Adaptronic
Once you get rid of the standard ECU it will be a lot easier diagnosing these issues as the standard one really doesnt like much over 6psi and will start doing stupid shit. Not only that but you wont be able to realise the full potential of the supercharger.
So basically get an ECU wired up and tuned, and go from there

You need to know his budget/limit first.
Cheers guys...
Been reading their website, they've tuned a Supercharged 1UZ with their ECU running the standard injectors so thats one worry gone...
I've been thinking about the fuel pump aswell, was away from work last week when a new Pump was installed and all I know is they replaced it with the same pump that was already in there from the spare parts shop up the road so it doesn't sound too exciting...
Will give Adaptronic a call tomorrow as they're 5 mins from my work and hopefully they can sort this out...
The car has cost the owner over $150k to get it where it is today so hopefully he's not too worried about an extra few grand for the ECU and tuning...

You could start with a set of 7mge injectors. They are plug and play and will give you 315cc/min instead of the stock 250cc/min.
****ing, stupid forum
as I thought I'd posted.
If he's sunk $150k into it, I wouldn't skimp on fuelling.
Autronic SM4, some new sard injectors, then stick it on the dyno and work out if the fuel pump needs help![]()
Autronic SM4 with the right tuner would be a better bet, now that we know your budget!

Yeah man, thats the one you know...
Was chatting to my boss about the time we all cruised as the car belongs to his brother in law...
Will pass on your details to him...
Ben...
I thought it was probably the lambo you used to cruise with.
If money is not really anything to be concerned with wouldnt a top-end motec be a good choice? That way it can actually be road legal - Motec does factory lockouts for compliancing dont they?
150k spewin hehe he could have bought a real one.
you need a super computer for a super car so get something good so you tune it in every way and make it feel like a bought one.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
Who's to say that MoTeC is the best choice for this?Originally Posted by StuC
Just about all ECU's have the lock out feature, and not all states require it to be used.
I say go for a Link ECU, there are 1UZ to Link harnesses you can buy to, plug and play. Im running a Link on my forced induction 1UZ, works ok. Good amount of features...
This Lambo is not a kit car. If you've seen it, you wouldn't call it a kit car. We should all bow down to him and ask how he owns a 2 seater car when he's got a couple of kids and a wife![]()
As usual, my advice is to go with a tuner, and put in the computer that the tuner says. I'll try and hook him up with Dick from rtls1.com who did my Supra. He was brilliant with my car, and I think Mr Lambo would get along well with him.
I'd love to see what Dick can do with a supercharged 1UZ.
