LOL i hope you dont get flamed for this.. Or maybe this is a joke?
Search and you will find lots of threads on it.

Hey all, I've got a mate with a 4AGZE engine, the AFM version running in a T18. Aftermarket microtech ecu so now MAP sensored.
He is keen to add a blow off valve to it. Can this be done on supercharge engines? - sorry i'm only familiar with turbo setup.
If so, because it's map sensored now I assume no difference between plumb back or atmo vent. ?
Any info about if it can be done, where to plumb it in, etc, would be great!
Thanks
Joel

yeh i laughed when i saw this .. im like oh no not again! rofl..
sorry dude in short.. It doesnt work
It WOULD work. But it doesn't for the simple reason that the TB is before the SC. So when you back off, there's no extra air to vent. If you REALLY want one, put the TB after the SC...if you REALLY want one.

Sorry wasn't a joke.. I searched the new forums, forgot about trying the old ones sorry!
I forgot to mention an important part..
The throttle body has been moved now so it is after the supercharger.
Yeah it has been moved after the supercharger as we found after the frontmont was installed it had a bad hunt at idle we couldn't get rid of.
Moving the throttle body after the SC got rid of this problem.
So does that make installing a BOV a bit easier?
is the SC on constantly?
will a BOV flow enough to divert the entire pumped contents of the supercharger on gearchanges?

The SC clutch is set to engauge around 1800rpm so not on all the time.
Unsure about how much the BOV can flow and if that would be enough?
running tb after supercharger will require a BOV for same reasons as turbo setup, plumb up the same way.
Being a MAP sensor not important where it is plumbed back in to unlike a MAF system.
Yep, you'll be in trouble WITHOUT a BOV in this case. Make sure you get something capable of venting major amounts of air, because unlike a turbo the SC doesn't stop pumping when you back off the throttle. Someone with an AW11 on the forums (is it Ben Wilson?) has an after-SC throttle body setup, try a bit of a search for it. But basically, as long as you run a nice big valve, you can do what you like with the SC timing etc...

I don't know anything about ZE's or BOV's but is this what you mean?

The big problem is searching for things like BOV and ZE - either the forum sortware ignores them or there are to many hits.....
It can be done, and I've done it. I'm curious to see how well it would work on a factory computer (it could be a good thing). The noise bacame the biggest drwaback for me.

Thanks all for this info..
Do you think the GFB plumback one would work and flow enough?
Not sure, I went for the turbosmart because it was the biggest plumback I could find. It seems to work fine.
Hey all, quick question.. What do you do with the ABV when you get an external BOV? Can you remove it or still required?
