    ok.. official OST DVD spotto:

    Motorvation 21 - Vol. 4

unbelievably - no footage of the amazing WILDSUPRA doors-up burnout during supercruise 2. what a shame. Either they missed it, or they decided not to put it in. Sux either way.

however, Gene's [SPIDA] Celica is clearly featured in both go-whoa and slalom footage.
and a nice 3 seconds of fame during pitlane cruising for me [TRD83] Supra

also Wayno's [WAYNOFX] Celica gets shown here and there in the background of a few shots.
Brendan's 88 Corolla hatch is in the background leaving the show as they wrap up the DVD.

thats all I noticed. none of our cars on the dyno, or on display.. not even footage of our popular starlet BBQ.

Ahh well, just have to drag the crazy cruiser out again next year and get more publicity!

    cheers

Eldar continues to diss the show despite never actually attending..

I partly aggree, Japanes cars hardly rated a mention, I think there is definately some bias there. I have last years DVD and you were lucky to see 3 seconds of imports and much the same this year. I still think it was a great weekend and will definately do it again.

if you read HPI magazine it actually says the opposite, that jap cars are getting alot of attention and changing the face of motorvation. WildSupra is like the front page for the motorvation article... how can you not be happy about that?

    Go WildSupra!!!!

BTW - Damo, is SPIDAs appearance on the DVD worthy of me buying it? That is, is it more than a fleeting glimpse of 0.5 seconds?

no, its clearly you going through the witches hats in the Slalom
and a nice close up of one of your Go to Whoa runs cos you were on the side of the track the camera was.
So yeah, probably worth a purchase.

Be prepared to sit through an hour of burnouts tho..

Yeah its more then 0.5 seconds mate worth getting anyway even if 3/4 of the footage are burnouts!

Oh YIPPEE its official I'm a background car!!

Bring on some QUADS sticking out of my bonnet for next year baby, Ill show those V8 blowers whos boss!

Seriously thou I think the DVD is purely there for the burnouts and then they chuck a few other things in so it doesnt look like just a burnout DVD. Did everyone notice the "intro" is actually the snake pit, it looked good especially in HD but Motorvation is more then just burnouts in my opinion... I know others would disagree thou.

Always next year, bring it on!

yeah man, I agree.. the intro is well done and well edited..

but the rest of the DVD is a little one sided.
They need to view the Summernats DVD and set it up more like that. they fit in the burnout footage, but at the same time manage to capture the rest of what the weekend is about. cruising, girls, entertainment, show n shine ..

its always a tough job summing up 48 hours in 1 1/2hours video footage tho..
