The floor pan area on the left of my 4K engine,
just below the timing chain cover and fuel pump,
has been getting somewhat oil damp lately.
I think my oil sump gasket might be leaking. It
doesn't appear to be from the timing chain cover.
Any other gaskets or seals in that vicinity where
the oil may be coming from ?
Is it a major job replacing the sump gasket ?
The timing chain was replaced about half year
ago, and I should have asked for the sump gasket
to be replaced at the same time. The mechanic
did not do it at that time, since he did not have
to take out the oil sump, only the timing chain
cover, to replace the chain.
Thanks again to all the good and informative users

Can be done at home but is messy and often fiddly, sure its not your front main seal under the harmonic balance?
