On the old forums nark. I havent been around on the new forums.

Kirsty i am well aware of the time and effort it takes and ofcourse i appreciate that such a forum exists.
I am in no way demanding anything, and i am definetely not upset or bitching......im just giving my opinion of why i think the changes are not a good idea. so yeah pls settle down

anyone who bitches at a moderator is slack, i am not bitching or bing rude...im voicing an opinion. i apologise if i came across rude however i dont think i did as they havent complained themselves. (and even then i was called "stupid" by Nark, a moderator on these oh so freindly forums)
A true moderator (someone who volunteered for the ppl), should CRAVE ppl's opinions....not call them stupid.

Just let the classifieds section go back the way is was and have waves of people abuse it?

Maybe you wish for the forums to employ someone to permanently moderate the forums at the clubs expense?

From what I can tell, we have reached the only possible middle ground.

You have the choice of
A) Classifieds being open for everyone to use, including those who will abuse it.
B) Classifieds being closed to people who don't contribute to the forums
C) Classifieds being permanently closed to those who aren't Club members.

Which would you prefer?

i thought you weren't coming back, hmmm amusingly in the time this forum has been up and running I've bought more off it then the 2 years I spent in the old forums.

Fact cars for sales in the old forums was spammed woefully, fact alot of ppl were almost selling commercially some guy was selling 4 celsiors at once which cough cough he no longer wanted.

AE86 for sale ads were a nub fest etc.

The other classifieds weren't much better

I like the way people post on here who have absolultely no idea about whats going on.
I don't care if Manipulate reads this or not, but by obviously only subscribing to this thread, that is a pretty narrow view of the whole deal.

BTW, my job is to be on the board as the Treasurer, I volunteered to do the moderating. I didn't have to do that.
The board's job is to represent the financial members interests first.

As for the thing about the Technical forum things being old, well if people started listening to it, maybe we wouldn't have to keep repeating it.

I hope you really have left Manipulate, you've obviously got nothing positive to contribute, & this forum is better off without you. You've only whinged on here, & obviously my opinion is shared as shown by the amount of rep lost by you in the last 12 hours.

I see you have found the new forums. The classifieds section here is restrcited to avoid it being abused buy all and sundry looking for a quick buck. I see you have been here for about 5 seconds now and your only input has been in this thread (9 posts - all in this thread) and your unhappiness about the classifieds.

I sceptical person may assume that your only here to offload your shit and are having a cry because now you actually have to contribute here first ??

The rules wont be changing so I suggest setting your homepage to www.tradingpost.com.au !

If you stick around it would be great to see your input it tech and conversion and contributiing to the site, we both know you havl a weath of knowledge you could share.
