It'll be between the 3rd and 4th valleys in the intake manifold. Just not enough sealing surface on the intake to head without the spacer. I researched this when i was building my motor and it seemed to pop up in passing but without much in depth detail. After digging a bit deeper, 2 separate sources confirmed it WILL leak without the spacer when chasing higher boost.

The 1st guy runs a turbo 20v with 300+rwkw (his previous engine was a turbo bigport), the other has a 180+rwkw bigport.

Sorry, I havent had the experience with the boost leak at all, since I havent had the boost over 7psi at all. Well, actually it has peaked at 9psi on the dyno, and it still hasnt leaked out the manifold. How does it leak between the 3rd and 4th valleys?? Has anyone got a photo of what you mean??
