Hi all, I just did a front brake upgrade to my NCP91 Yaris, and thought I’d share it here.
Stock Australian Yarises have a 255mm rotor on the front, however there are 275mm rotors listed for overseas models (such as the JDM RS, and the Euro 1.8 litre), which are easy to order in here.
Using a pair of ZRE152 Corolla front callipers the 275mm rotor fits perfectly. The callipers bolt up using the original brake hose too, and the dust plate doesn’t even need modifications.
Brake feel is a little soft but still within the parameters of normal. Once I work out an elegant but inexpensive solution for rear discs, I’ll see if a Corolla master cylinder will fit too.
I believe 130 series Yarises run the same brakes as a 90 series, and I also believe that ZRE182 callipers are the same as the ZRE152 ones I used.
Hope this helps others; it’s always nice when there’s a bolt on upgrade using factory parts!

Update after (wow!) two years of driving with the upgraded brakes.
Perfect. The softness was sorted out with another bleed, and the brakes really work quite well.
I also believe this swap will work for the Prius C (Aqua in Japan); and the E160 series Corolla Fielder and Axio hybrids and ProBox hybrids that are coming to Australia as imports.
