there arent to many things that will cause an EFI car to "flood." i would also suggest cold start injector.

Also, your pressure regulator could have become stuck closed, causing maximum rail pressure. that would cause extra fuel to go in the cylinder when teh injectors are opened.

    factory management or aftermarket?

lets start form the 1st idea. i dont have a cold start injector on my engine, i know that there is fuel goin back to the tank, could the regulator still be broken?? i have a haltech f7b. the car had been running pretty good on the tempoary map i made, basically the plugs are just fouling up within abuot 2-3 minutes when i replace them, the air fuel ratio meter says its running lean but there is big clouds of black smoke pouring from the exhaust, it will run on boost(when it eventually revs that high). plugs 1 and 2 look perfect, but 3,4,5,6,7 and 8 are all really black and sooty. could the injectors just be stuck open ??

    thanks for the help

it could be possible that the pulse time on your map is all wrong. you say that cylinder 1 seems to be ok, but the others are no good. check the pulse times on your map to ensure that the other 3 cylinders arent pulsing for too long. this would give a rich mixture.

if there is a difference between no. 1 and the others, then you know something isnt right there....

all 4 of the injectors pulse for the same amount of time so i am assuming that they should deliver the same amount of fuel, does this sound right?? is it possible that the back 3 cyl are getting a higher pressure of fuel therefore delivering more fuel?? would an adjustable fuel reg fix this??

i will try to make a semi drivable map to get my car down to underwood, hopefully when it gets tuned it will all sort it self out.
