    Default side feed fuel rail injector spacing

    I'm looking at fueling upgrades for my car, and instead of going larger injectors, want to stage more fuel into the engine with another fuel rail welded into the intake runners.

    So does anyone know of a fuel rail with an injector spacing of 105mm in a sidefeed configuration.
    So far i've gotten my hands on a gen2 3sgte rail and it measuered
    1<---86mm--->2<---105mm--->3<---86mm--->4

    lot of work! much easy going bigger injectors. you can just buy fuel rail and make one{you can buy fuel rail bar} if you going to weld injector bosses into runners and then mounts for the rail! takes serious and i mean over 1000hp before anyone really bothers whit second enjector setup!
    be cheaper buying bigger injectors.

    i'm thinking from each side of the fence here.

    I do agree larger injectors are a hell of a lot easier.

    Smaller injectors mean smaller opening times, mean more controlled fueling etc etc... so i'm not running around with 1000cc injectors running the lowest possible duty cycle i can with the big bad boys, and having a AFR of 10:1 at idle.

    Hence the idea of just welding in another set of injectors, and staging them in when i need em.

    Lance: adiscussion up our way has centered around putting another factory fuel rail and set of factory injectors underneath the runners pointing up towards the head - this way you can either stage them or just double your fuel input.

    The theory being that if the injector bungs are close enough the the manifold face, the injector spacing should suit the runners.

    cheers,
    Charles.

    thechuckster: yup, that is the plan, although i don't wanna go thru the pain of trying to mount another top feed rail on the bottom of the rail. Hence why i'm after spacing for sidefeed rails, would be easier to weld in.

    I'm open to ideas though.
