Changing flywheel, cam, and generally freeing up the breathing will definately help, but you'll never make big numbers with one simply because you won't have big revs. As far as the 'ECU' is concerned, it's very old school and there isn't really a lot that can be changed - you'd probably just stick to messing with the spring tension in the airflow meter and rotating the dizzy a bit.
