RA60 Rear Diff/Disc brake conversion upgrade

Hey guys, im new here and ive tried searching through all the posts.

Does anyone know what an easy diff upgrade would be for the RA60 celica. I want to upgrade so ive got rear disc brakes

I've neither done nor seen the conversion but given that the RA60 is a t-series live axle you could probably look at an f-series diff with st141 corona discs. That would five you plenty of LSD diff options too. Go looking through some RA2x-RA60 build threads. Lots of people who have done this in various guises. 240 series volvo (dana diff similar to jeep I think) offers disc options also. Most of these conversions will need some work on brake bias, setting up hand brake cables etc. But I'm sure the info is out there if you spend a bit of time reading.

You could stick with the t-series and just upgrade your brakes with the st141 discs. Very limited LSD options then though.

If you just want discs then bolt on ST141 Corona discs. It's pretty straight forward and there are a few guides ("Corona discs onto most 4 stud Toyotas" started by GA61Celica on here is a good start).

If you want a stronger diff too then start looking at F series, G series, Volvo, etc.
