rattling on idle
hello, i have a question for my cousins 03 corolla. the engine has abit of a rattle on idle. is this common for these corollas? could something be loose? his car has done 60,000kms and he doesnt drive hard at all.

Could be a lot of things. Serious things (don't want to scare you, but..) could be low oil pressure, low oil level, bottom end bearing.
Maybe best to try to describe the sound.

true could be many things, ill get him to look at it and listen for where its coming from. he bought the car new and services it regularly. just wanted to see if it was a common problem. thanks fellas
