R31 carrier diff shims - where to buy

Hi guys,

Converting my R31 diff from a 25spline to a 28 spline Kaaz unit.

I bought a Yukon shim kit from the US but it turns out that they didn't fit. I then found this site http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/?topic=144425.0 who specifies part 1105 from here http://www.ratechmfg.com/pop_up_order%201105.htm

However the measurements listed by the part don't look like they'll match what I got off the shim. The shims I measured 73.5mm OD (2.89") and 60mm ID (2.36")

Anyone have any info?

I asked my local diff guy if he'd do a shim swap thingyo with me but he refused.

The r31 diff is a borg warner unit like a falcon and commodore.

Yeah I know that. Borg Warner 78. However it's still not trivial to find the shims.

I just did a Google search and there are plenty of shim suppliers. The third one had all types of shims. Look at http://www.precisionshims.com.au/

Cheers for the reply. Unfortunately I only just saw that now. I think they specialise in engine-sized shims but thanks none the less. Ended up just taking it to Craft Differentials as they said they'd shim it for $150. We'll see.
