With my year engine it just needs the neutral start bypassed. Pre security stuff.

The rav is a 94. The engine is out of a Japanese 99 celica. I have h&r springs with bilstein shocks with energy suspension bushes through out. I made adjustable upper rear arms so I could correct the rear negative camber.

When Andrew (UltraV) did his he had to run the Rav transfer case. It is smaller than the gte box/transfer and it was either that or modify the firewall.

Cool man sounds like we're both doing similar builds.

See this is the kinda info I need, thanks for the heads up and if you have any other pointers please let me know. That point about the firewall was doing my head in coz I wanna get it engineered and road registered. I just hope the rav transfer case is strong enough to handle the extra power and clutch drops :-P

i cant remember if he ran a hybrid gt4 box/rav transfer or just used the whole rav shebang though. You may be able to find his old thread somewhere on here though. Or google cache even. Its been a while, but the car did pop up for sale about a month ago and was promptly snapped up. The new owner was on the Facebook Toymods page so may come to the party if you do a shout out.

The rav box seems strong enough to handle the 3sgte. The issue with using a gt4 box is that you can't get a suitable final drive. 3.9 or 4.28 in gt4 and 4.9 in the rav4. Final drives don't interchange between wide and narrow gearboxes.

I apologise for late reply I didn't get a notification.
Can you explain to me in lehmans terms what that means to me as far as driveability goes? Will I be revving the rings off it at 100kmh? Lol
Also I'm gonna be using an engine and gearbox from an st215 caldina if that makes a difference to the final drive...

im curious what are the gear ratios of the rav4 box?
might be a good option for track days in a GT4 lol close ratio.
