A brace has to be strong, and steel is much stronger than alloy. That's not to say an alloy strut brace won't work, just that you have to make it super chunky to have equivalent strength of a simple steel tube.

Rob, if you need you can "cheat" off my strut brace Save a bit of mucking around for you to get the measurements from it rather than hacking up some cardboard and whatnot...

if your going to go to the trouble of making one, you might aswell make a triangulated one and join the stut tops to the firewall!

I think you're missing the point of a strut brace.

    Methinks Norbs is right

Triangulated strut brace will be far more effective than your "normal" brace that bolts to the strut towers.

I generally agree, however even a 2-point brace (which I thought were wank until I tried one) made a markled improvement in my xA6x.

I am assuming this is for an MA61...hunt around the celica-gts.com, IIRC someone did a writeup on converting a 240sx (S13) brace to an xA6x Celica. The length etc is same between Celica & Supra, just the bolt holes are offset 60* - no big deal to redrill.

when you grab hold of it and try and move it in diffrent directions and it dosnt move. you dont need to load them up, just so they are firm.
