    ^^^ what he said.

I have a brand new Malpasdi reg to suit as I was turboing a twin side draft mikuni 2T back in the day.

HKS used the solexes in their turbo carby 18RG kit btw so has been done to good effect

Well where would one begin finding said parts to modify some solex's? I have a few spare solex's lying around I can play with.

Get a spare carby and pressurise it to 7-9psi. But you really should do it with a pressure regulator.
Or even do a hydrostatic test with water, but make sure you have a pressure gauge in there as mains water pressure can still be 60psi or more.
This at least would let you see if the shaft seals can handle the pressure. And if a float collapses.

I'm not quite sure how I would go about doing that sort of test when I'm on a budget.

Small hand pump, or a low pressure regulator from a pneumatics supplier to hook up to your air compressor. Only be a few bucks worth.
Having never done or driven a blow through setup, I still don't see the benefits outweighing the brilliant simplicity of a suck through setup when on a budget.

I never said it had to be blow through, I'll do which ever setup up is easiest/cheapest
Also, I don't have an aircompressor yet...

Go suck thru then, so much simpler and TB before the SC also solves a few issues.

Simple plenum onto your twin carb manifold. A single solex should flow enough air with the right venturies, but dunno if you'll be able to jet it large enough? Outside my experience sorry
