4AGE FWD-RWD conversion

Is this a big deal or is there a gearbox that is readily available that bolts on..

Its for off road use so exhaust and mounts etc: are no prob

no it isnt a big deal at all! but id be looking for something light and with more power if you are unlimited in what you can do!
yes you can get a bellhouse adaptor to use a w58 box as you will kill a T50 that they use very fast sprint racing, unless you want to fork out $3500 for a T50 dogbox.

Excuse my ignoance but what is w58 and t50 box..
We only run in second gear so no gear changes.

T50 box comes in the ae86 sprinters and the W58 is behind most 88-98{ 98 is a guess} straight 6 toyotas

why do you use a gearbox then?

Rules say we must have 2 forward and one reverse gear. Its so we can manouver and restart in case of spin etc:
And to run direct drive we would need 6.5 diff gears..
What sort of cheaper 6cyl cars had a manual.?

Are you alloud to have more than 2 forward gears?
On the speedway i don't think that the gearbox will be stressed much due to it being a low traction surface so the T-50 should be alright

i would go a torque engine like the 22r ect and put an aftermarket supercharger on it! give you loads of punch out of ther corners! whats your all up weight at the moment?

We can have as many gears as we want.Due to restrictions in avaliable gear ratios we run 3.9 and second gear at the moment but for a lower revving engine i can go to 3.43 from a sigma.

I can get a 22RE manual from a RT142 What is the CT bit.??
