    Weird! When I went k-t In my old setup I used a t18 t50 And it slotted straight in with one tiny little tap in one spot.

    not that weird.. the T box is taller at the back iirc, so shifter sits higher.. unless you lower back of box, and then it fits ok?

    KE3x and KE7x K50's..
    KE3x mid mount shifter K50 fits perfectly in KE1x tunnel, and shifter pops out through the Auto hole
    KE7x rear mount shifter sits a bit high, so either mount back of box lower (angles the driveline), or cut out tunnel to let it sit higher


    T50 for comparison. (rear shift position? = for AE86 etc?)
    similar to KE7x K50 in length and height, but shifter is slightly higher again



    K50 (KE3x = mid), T50 (front shifter?) and old W50(?) for width


    TA22 box with forward shift position(?)


    I forget all the differences.. been a while

    if you look at the left trans tunnel in previous post (the auto one) the tunnel goes down behind the auto shifter hole.
    the auto shift hole is good for KE3X K50, but the KE7X is higher and further back, and since the tunnel goes lower there.. doesn't quite fit as a bolt in.
    cut out that part of tunnel (behind original auto shifter hole) and the front T50 box will fit ok (it's pretty ok for width, just not height at back)
