Default Davis Craig Thermo Fan Switch Info?

    Hello All,

Does anyone have the wiring diagram of the Thermo Swich that sits on the radiator as depicted below? I want to hook up my A/C wire to it but I can't since I don't know how to hook it up...

    Cheers.

It's just a switch, one pin's power in, one's power out (when the switch is closed according to the temp selected with the dial).
If you want the fan to come on when the A/C is on, don't wire it through the thermo switch, you want to run it in parallel to the thermo switch. Wire it up to the relay that the switch activates, or run a second relay in parallel with the first.

Here's a link to their website with instructions you can download. Provides electrical diagrams on how to wire in the AC down the botton.

Ick... the horrible Davies, Craig fan switch strikes again! One would seriously wonder how they can still sell these things.. It's NOT the 1950's... Plus I find it kind of hard to take seriously any instructions that 'recommend' using Scotchlocks...

After seeing these, I tend to agree.
With those Davies Craig ones, you have to stick the copper sensor inside one of your radiator hoses which has potential to leak if its not done properly.

One would tend to disagree with the application of what I am using for as my engine has not allocation for those sensors...

I know Mr Shin, they are terrible but in my case I have no choice...

    Cheers.

What's stopping you from making allocation for one of those switches, or even using a Toyota fan switch? Drill and tap a hole in an appropriate location, much neater than that 50's oven controller!

Skill is stopping me as I have no hope in trying to do it or try and make it look clean and presentable for engineering.

yeah i agree with you. piss it off. they are junk.
as for scotch locks they are the worst thing ever.
i know VDO make a temp switch and it only uses a single wire earth output to trigger a relay for your fans. this is much neater and more reliable than i damm probe stuck in your hose.
