I've recently purchased an MS65, there's nothing really wrong with it except it has a boat anchor in the engine bay (202 red motor). There are a few engine options I'm considering from a 5mge all the way through to 4v. Ideally I'd love to get the 4v in there but I'm at a bit of stretch as to how much work these things are to source parts for.

The engine I've got access to sounds pretty rough and really needs a clean up, it hasn't been cracked open yet so could be rings and springs, to full overhaul. I'm aware that the 4v may be relatively easy to source some parts using 2T components but I'm worried about simple things like gaskets rings valve springs rockers etc may be difficult.

The next issue is possible auto box options (the box thats on there is a tiny 3 speed). Really not sure what options have been explored.

The final issue is fitment into an MS65. The motor is short and low, it will fit without a doubt but just wondering if anyone has bothered to dummy one up. All I seem to find are 1U swaps.

Any advice would be great.
