can't post on classifieds

dude.. i had no idea it hadn't been covered... i posted 'cause i also had a problem VIEWING a thread... came up with the same problem... but that didn't bother me 'cause it was just about some readers ride supra/soarer, something like that

this bothered me so i asked about it... i could hardly believe other people had problems reading this thread, and couldn't post, so i didn't even bother searching

as for neg repping 'cause other people repped me out of sympathy, i personally don't think it's your place... i'd rather see them neg rep me, 'cause i never asked for rep, just wanted to know why it was that i couldn't post.

additionally.. the fact you neg repped me for the post, was the reason i didn't neg rep you for point out my sig!

i didnt neg rep you because you were given sympathy rep, i gave you a neg rep because you asked why you couldnt post in the classified section, at first i saw you had over 30 rep and thought it was odd, but then someone mentioned that you had 28 rep when you started the thread, which is insufficient rep to post in the classified section, if you had of read the FAQ, or even searched for all the other threads that have been made by other people that cant post in the classfied you would have known that it was because you had insufficient rep

i cant understand what your saying here, might be due to my lack of sleep.
any neg rep you would give me would be brought to the attention of joshtix/mos/admin, thye were the ones that have said previously that if people have sigs. that are over 5 lines, use the rep system to deal with it as the whole point of the rep system is to deal with all the randoms that come on here trying to post for sale ads, not reading the forum rules, FAQ, or searching. last time i PMd someone about there sig being over 5 lines they replied in a smart ass way, so now i think F it im not going to be nice and just tell PM if im going to get smart ass replies, which you did in a way anyway saying that your not changing it until mods/admin tell you too.

umm guys I am going to pipe in here as this has turned to just a big arguement.
IF you actually look through this section you will see that ALL the older threads re posting in the classifieds have been removed because ALL have them have turned the same as this one is going!

Actually, searching for "posting in classifieds" brings up 4 or 5 similar threads AND Wagonists FAQ for the classifieds section, but it would seem the other 50,000 threads have been removed

i don't know, it was a forsale post from what i remember...

i don't have an issue with the neg rep for the post... seems you gotta get used to being neg repped for posting anything that's been covered, a large part of the reason we moved to these forums in the first place, i just think it gets a little crazy sometimes, if i had to search for everything i posted... i wouldn't bother at all...


my main gripe was the sig... yes it may have been over 5 lines, but i've seen financial members, and board members who's are over 5 lines, and indeed larger in physical space due to the use of quote tags. as far as i'm concerned, the limit should be physical space, rather then the number of lines.

agreed... but how big do you want the damn thing.. the problem comes when sigs are bigger than peoples posts and it just looks shite, as well as being harder to quickly scroll thru threads to actually find any information
