KE70 Window winder problem!!

Hi Guys,

not sure if this belongs here or not but i think it does

Anyway, tonight my window winder thingy on my driver door stopped working

What happens is i wind and it just free spins, so i thought that maybe the round bit inside the handle (where the bumpy notch things are) were rounded off. So i took off the little clip and pulled off the plastic handle, it is not rounded off and is in perfectly good condition. The metal part on the window winding device just free spins so i have NFI what has happened here. If no-one understands what i'm saying here i will get pics tommorow.

sounds like something on your window regultaors has snapped, this is what happened on my AE82, remove your door trim and have a look inside your door and you will be able to see what is happening!
Then take a trip out to the wrecker and grab a window regulator from another KE70 and replace yours then enjoy the nice cold winter air in your face!

exactly what whitchy said, your regulator is broken, happened in my ae82, but it was due to the hol;e for the winder part widening so the teeth wouldnt grab at certain points whilst winding the window up.
would also be the window channel has rusted and is no longer holding the window, and the rubber seal is tight eough to hold the window in place, although i doubt that, it would be obvious i think
